Illusions is my first attempt at writing and producing a collection of complete songs. The album is the result of three years of gradually finding my way back to songwriting after retiring from the rat race.

Throughout the project, I’ve experimented with using the bass guitar in unconventional ways—stretching its role beyond its traditional function to create melodies, harmonies and musical space often associated with other instruments. Virtual instruments are blended with live bass to expand that palette.

At its heart, Illusions is also my somewhat selfish musical playground: a place to explore new musical theory concepts, try things I've never tried before, and see where they lead.
